Pre-Kindergarten Program (ages 4-5)
Our program incorporates a curriculum that is research-based, designed for preschool, creates enthusiasm for learning and builds school-readiness skills. In addition, we use curriculum that is based on the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills standards to develop early reading, writing, math, and problem-solving skills. Students also encounter basic social studies and science concepts. Finally, creative arts, music and social awareness instruction (i.e., good manners, polite demeanor) are included to round out the future success of our children as they go on to elementary school.
Research shows that children learn by doing, and they need many opportunities to explore and acquire knowledge. Our program invites children to explore and discover, as well as participate in activities aligned with specific learning goals and objectives.
ABCMouse.com is used to support our curriculum in reading, writing, language arts, math, science and social studies.
Socialization and Good Manners
Among daily training in positive interactions with one another, we use the “Sparkimur Friends” curriculum to support polite behavior, working well with others and good manners.
“Sparkimurs live in an interesting, magic and fun-filled world. They are almost always happy and feel good about themselves. But like all humans – young and old – they have some bad days along the way.”
